BOCHSA REVISITED – 40 Easy Etudes, Op. 318 Vol. I, Etudes 1 - 20
Edited by Carl Swanson and Judith Ross
Bochsa’s 40 easy etudes have been the backbone of harp technique since they were written nearly 200 years ago. They are a fun and effective way of learning harp technique. This publication represents a number of firsts for these wonderful etudes.
For the first time:
The etudes are engraved on two pages instead of one, making them easier to read.
This edition is spiral bound, so the music stays open and lies flat.
All of the pedal changes are included, in large letters.
A new Etude Variation follows each Bochsa etude that expands on the technical material of the original.
Text at the beginning explains how to practice effectively.
There is a short description of each etude and etude variation to help you understand what to work on.
There are suggested fingerings to get you started.
Whatever kind of music you ultimately want to play, you need technique to get around the instrument. These etudes will get you there.
